Police release photo of suspect vehicle in Halifax murder

Halifax Regional Police have released a photo of a vehicle used by a murder suspect in the city last week.

On Thursday morning officers responded to a fatal shooting on McFatridge Road in Fairview.

According to police, 38-year-old Uriah Lemar Black was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy conducted by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service confirmed the manner of his death to be a homicide.

“Investigators have determined the suspect was driving a blue Honda CRV,” police said in a media release.

Police are asking for anyone with information on the vehicle or its owner to get in touch.

They’re also asking for people to come forward with any video from the McFatridge Road area between midnight and 6 a.m. on Feb. 20.

Officials do not believe this was a random event.
