WestJet announces direct flights from Halifax to Spain

Haligonians now have another non-stop service to Europe.

WestJet will be offering direct flights from Halifax to the Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport in Barcelona starting this summer.

“This route is poised to become a favourite among those eager to explore Spain and beyond,” John Weatherill, WestJet Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer, said. “Service between Halifax and Barcelona complements our expansive and most significant transatlantic schedule from Atlantic Canada.”

The service will be offered four times per week beginning June 27 until September 29, 2025.

WestJet now offers non-stop summer service to Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Dublin and Edinburgh.
