RCMP investigate two sudden deaths deemed not suspicious

Lunenburg County District RCMP, along with the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service, is investigating the sudden death of two elderly individuals.

It happened on Friday, shortly after 1 p.m., RCMP officers responded to a report of a sudden death on a trail in Lake Pleasant. Upon arrival, officers located an 84-year-old deceased woman. Nearby, the remains of an 85-year-old male were also located.

RCMP say that at this time, the deaths are not believed to be suspicious, but an investigation is ongoing. The investigation is happening with assistance from Annapolis District RCMP, RCMP Digital Forensic Services and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
