Three arrested, firearms seized from home after break-in

The RCMP says a break-and-enter at a home in Beaver Bank has led to three arrests and the seizure of multiple firearms.

Police say officers responded to reports of a break-in on Barrett Road on the evening of July 11 and used drones to locate the three suspects in a wooded area near the home.

Six firearms taken from the home were seized.

An 18-year-old from Beaver Bank is facing 18 charges, including several firearms offences. Two youths are also facing charges.

“While investigating the break and enter, officers observed multiple firearms unsecured and unsafely stored inside the home on Barrett Rd. This observation prompted a new investigation,” wrote the RCMP in a media release. “Officers seized 28 firearms as part of this investigation.”

Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to reach out to the RCMP.
