By Steve Gow

The RCMP continue to attempt to locate a man connected to an armed robbery in Coldbrook on Monday.

According to the Mounties, officers were called to a restaurant in the 7100 block of Highway 1 in Coldbrook, where a man allegedly entered, put a weapon on the counter and demanded cash from staff members.

The suspect fled on foot and was seen running towards a nearby parking lot, where witnesses say he jumped into the passenger side of a car that drove eastbound on Hwy 1.

The vehicle is described as a blue or grey four-door Chevrolet Cruze, 2010 or similar model, driven by a man with light coloured hair and facial hair.

During the robbery, the suspect was wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, patterned pants (possibly a flower pattern), white shoes, a black baseball cap, and a face mask.

RCMP say he is described as 5’7″ to 5’9″ with a slim build.

Anyone with information that will support this investigation who has not yet spoken with police is asked to contact Kings District RCMP at 902-765-3317.
