N.S. RCMP searching for multiple people after vehicle hits house

The RCMP in Pictou County are searching for several people after a vehicle was driven into a home on the weekend.

The Mounties say officers were called to the scene in Pictou on Saturday night, where they found a blue Mitsubishi RVR crashed into the house, damaging the porch and siding.

No one inside the home was injured, police say.

“Investigators learned that two or three people exited the vehicle, removed the plate, and left on foot before police arrived,” reads a release from the RCMP.

According to police, the vehicle was not registered, and officers believe the plates may have been stolen.

One of the people in the Mitsubishi is described as a man wearing a hoodie, standing about 5’5″ with a thin build.

Another person is described as a woman, also standing at about 5’5″, with a thin build and shoulder-length brown hair.

A third person is believed to be a man, but there is no further description. The RCMP says there may also have been a black dog in the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to reach out to police.
