RCMP say they have charged a Beaver Bank man with murder.

The charges stem from an incident on Friday after RCMP received reports of an assault at a Beaver Bank home.

Responding officers and EHS found a man with life-threatening injuries and performed first aid, but he died.

Officers located and safely arrested a suspect nearby shortly after.

According to RCMP, the incident is not considered random and the two men knew each other.

The 28-year-old suspect will face second-degree murder charges in Dartmouth provincial court today.
