Mooseheads trade Taillefer to Armada for three 2027 draft picks

The Halifax Mooseheads have traded one of their defenceman for multiple 2027 draft picks.
According to the team’s website, general manager Cam Russell traded 19-year-old Mathieu Taillefer to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada for 2nd, 3rd and 5th round draft picks in 2027.
Taillefer, who is originally from Richelieu, Quebec, was named an alternate captain for the Mooseheads this season and scored one goal and three assists in 21 games played.
He has been out since late November with a lower body injury.
The QMJHL trade period runs until Jan. 6.
The Mooseheads are next in action on Dec. 28 when they take on the Newfoundland Regiment.
