A 22-year-old from Bible Hill is facing numerous charges after allegedly pointing an imitation firearm at a motorist.
It happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Dec. 20.
RCMP said it received a report that a man was driving on Park Street in Bible Hill when another man “pointed a gun at him out the front passenger window”.
Police later confirmed it was a BB gun.
The suspect vehicle, a Volkswagen Golf GTI, fled toward Truro.
Officers alerted Truro Police Service of the suspect vehicle but it was not immediately located.
Officers say they learned that prior to the firearm incident, the suspect vehicle had cut in front of the victim’s vehicle while they were travelling along park street. One of the passengers with the victim began filming the suspect vehicle, capturing the firearm incident.
Approximately three and a half hours later, Colchester County RCMP located the suspect vehicle at a residence on Ryland Avenue. Officers arrested a man and a woman and seized a BB gun. The woman was released without charges.
The 22-year old man is now facing charges of using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failure to comply with order.
The accused appeared in provincial court and was released on conditions.
The investigation is ongoing.
