3 men dead in separate fatal boating incidents this week: RCMP

Three men are dead after two separate boating incidents in Nova Scotia this week.
The most recent incident happened at roughly 4:45 p.m. on Canada Day, as emergency crews, along with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, responded to a report that people were ejected from a boat on Aylesford Lake.
Mounties said five men were on the boat when two passengers were thrown from the vessel as surface conditions of the water changed.
A 70-year-old from Aylesford was found in the water by another boater nearby and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the search for the other missing passenger, a 58-year-old man from Aylesford, continued into Thursday. In an update around 3:30 p.m., the RCMP said the second man had been found and was deceased.

Meantime, Cumberland County District RCMP is investigating another fatal boating incident that took place in the Northumberland Strait.
On Tuesday, at roughly 10:40 p.m., emergency crews responded to a report of a person ejected from a boat.
Police said five people were on a boat that ran aground near Oak Island, off the shore of Wallace Bay, throwing one of the passengers, a 24-year-old Wallace man, from the vessel.
Mounties said he had life threatening injuries and was transported to the wharf in Wallace where he was pronounced dead.
The operator of the boat, a 19-year-old Wallace Station man, was arrested and has since been released pending further investigation.
The investigation into that incident is ongoing.
