Mounties looking for suspect in Cole Harbour trading card theft

The RCMP is asking for the public’s help after a shop in Cole Harbour was the victim of a smash-and-grab earlier this week.

Around 7 p.m. on Monday, the RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment says a man walked into a store in the 900 block of Cole Harbour Road, smashed a display case and stole trading cards before fleeing in a vehicle.

According to a release, no one was injured, but the suspect did threaten an employee.

Officers say the vehicle, an older model, dark coloured Volkswagen Jetta with black rims and temporary permit in the back window, drove eastbound on Cole Harbour Road.

The RCMP says it was driven by another man with a woman in the passenger side.

The suspect is described as about 50-years old, 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds with a red toque, black jacket, jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 902-490-5020. To remain anonymous, call Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers, toll-free, at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submit a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or use the P3 Tips app.
