Two men face charges for making threats against N.S. courthouse

The RCMP has arrested two men in the Annapolis Valley, accused of making threats against a courthouse.
Police say the threats were made after a search warrant was executed at one of the men’s homes earlier this year.
The RCMP say the investigation started on June 18, as officers in Annapolis County were made aware of threats made by two men to take firearms to a courthouse with the intention to cause violence.
Those comments were made in April and reported this month.
Police also say a search warrant executed at one of the men’s homes in May led to the seizure of multiple firearms, ammunition and other weapons.
The mounties say there was no evidence that either of the men in the threat investigation had obtained more firearms following that seizure.
The two men were arrested on Sunday.
A 41-year-old from Middleton is charged with five counts of uttering threats and is being held in custody after making a first court appearance in Annapolis Royal on Monday.
The second man has been released on conditions pending a court appearence scheduled for next month.
