Kearney Lake Road closure ends early, road reopened

The construction work along Kearney Lake Road that was anticipated to last until the morning of Tuesday, July 28 has ended early, according to halifax.ca.

Construction work began Saturday at Kearney Lake Road, between Bedford Highway and Dunbrack Street. The closure was due to road repair, as a step in supporting the “Moving Better” goals outlined in Halifax’s 2026-30 Strategic Plan.

The road was initially blocked with only sidewalk access available, but full mobility has now been restored to the area.
