Bridgetown has a new mayor and town council, after the old ones quit suddenly over undisclosed financial woes.
This time, they’re not elected politicians. They’ve been appointed by the provincial government.
Robert Fowler becomes the new Mayor of Bridgetown. He’s a longtime civil servant with the province.
Anna Allen and Jim Thurber are the new councilors. They have experience with municipal government in the valley.
The Minister of Municipal Relations says the new team, including a CAO, has the skills to lead Bridgetown through a time of transition.
