We now know how much our councillors and mayor will be paid for their work over the next year.
News 95.7 has learned that Mayor Mike Savage will receive a 3.4 per cent increase to $168,449.
Regional councillors will received a 2.63 per cent bump to $80,849.
By comparison the rate of inflation in Nova Scotia was 1.7 per cent in September, according to Statistics Canada.
Those numbers come from a formula that looks at council salaries in eight different communities, including Halifax, and places our councillors somewhere in the middle.
Council voted on Monday to review the process of how their salaries are determined every four years.
