FRED owner jumps into mayoral race

Another candidate has declared his intention to compete for HRMm’s top job.
Local entrepreneur Fred Connors made the announcement Thursday night during an acceptance speech at the “Courage to Give Back” awards.
The Herald reports he received a standing ovation.
Connors owns the popular FRED salon at the corner of Agricola and North Street, and has been featured as a self-esteem expert on the show X-Weighted.
He’s also been in the news as an urban chicken owner fighting for the right to raise hens in his backyard.
Connors tells the Herald HRM is a great city but residents spend too much time focusing on what’s wrong, instead of considering the possibilities and potential.
He says he’s been involved in his community for a long time and cares passionately about HRM as a whole.
