Police say a public tip led to the arrest of one of the city’s 10 most wanted suspects, hours after releasing the newly-updated list.
Jonathon Russell Craig was wanted for charges that include sexual assault and luring a child.
Around 7:15 Thursday night, Staff Sgt. Lindsay Hernden says officers responded to a call from a resident who recognized one of the suspects on the list.
“A member of the public recognized the photo and called it in, and our members arrived and took him into custody without incident,” he said.
Craig was arrested at an Almon Street home and will appear in court today.
Among the other nine men named on the list is Steven Douglas Skinner, who’s wanted for second-degree murder.
Skinner is the suspect in the shooting death of Stacey Adams, 20, who was found dead in Lake Echo last April.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Skinner’s arrest.
The most-wanted list is on the Halifax Regional Police website.
