Parkade stabbing suspect faces attempted murder charge

The man who turned himself in to police in connection with a downtown stabbing will be in court today to face charges.

A release from Halifax Regional Police says investigators interviewed the 31-year-old man Monday evening, and he’s now facing charges of weapons possession and attempted murder.

A 28-year-old man was found in the parkade between Hollis and Granville Streets on March 3, suffering from a life-threatening knife wound.

Investigators were able to speak with him last week.

The man facing charges walked into the Burnside police office Monday afternoon.
