HALIFAX – Regional police are asking for information from the public after a nine-year-old girl reported a man approached her and asked her to get in his car on Wednesday morning in the west-end.
Officers received the call on Wednesday evening, when the girl reported she had been walking near Connolly Street and Edgewood Avenue around 8 a.m., when a man in an older model metallic blue car stopped and asked her to get in.
The girl said she ran inside her school and the man did not follow her.
The man is described as having a slim build with red or orange cropped hair and freckles on his face. He was wearing a black baseball hat and black jacket at the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact regional police.
