Man expected to survive serious assault in Spryfield

One man is in hospital and another is under arrest after an aggravated assault in Spryfield.
Regional police were called to the 400 block of Herring Cove Road around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, and found the 37-year-old victim suffering from a serious head wound.
He was taken to the QEII in serious condition, but his injury is considered non life-threatening.
A 40-year-old Spryfield man was arrested and is expected in court today, facing charges of aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm.
Police say the assault was not random and it appears the victim and suspect knew each other.
