Halifax Mooseheads star forward Nathan MacKinnon will be in the spotlight once again at the Halifax Metro Centre.
The native of Cole Harbour has been named the Captain for Team Cherry for the January 16th Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects game.
“I’m very thankful that I play for Halifax, I said before it’s a great hockey market and I’m sure we’ll have a great (turnout) for the game, and as far as being coached by Mr. Cherry it will be an honour.”
MacKinnon’s Mooseheads teammate Jonathan Drouin will be an alternate, and the pair will play on a line together.
Portland Winterhawks blueliner Seth Jones will wear the “C” for Team Orr, which will be coached by Sydney’s Mike Mcphee.
