Social media post over rifle sticker in Alaska causes uproar

JUNEAU, Alaska — A social media post by an Alaska human rights official questioning the appropriateness of a sticker on a truck reading “Black Rifles Matter” has caused an uproar and calls by Gov. Mike Dunleavy for an investigation.
Marti Buscaglia, executive director of the state Commission for Human Rights, says the truck was parked outside the commission’s building in Anchorage.
She says she thought the sticker was racist and posted a picture on the commission’s Facebook page asking, “In what world is this OK?”
Buscaglia says she left a note on the truck hoping the owner would call her. When the owner, Brent Linegar saw the note, he, too, went to social media. He said he thought the sticker was pro-gun rights.
Dunleavy hasn’t elaborated on the investigation he is seeking.
