Mooseheads defeat Eagles 5-3

The Halifax Mooseheads defeated the Cape Breton Eagles 5-3 on Thursday night.
Carter McCluskey and Nicholas Girouard each found the back of Halifax's net in the opening period, giving Cape Breton a 2-0 lead.
Markus Vidicek and Braeden MacPhee would eventually tie things up for the Herd in the second period.
Jordan Dumais gave Halifax a 3-2 lead near the midway point of the third period but Ivan Ivan tied things up not too long after.
Stephen Davis restored Halifax's lead and an empty net goal from Elliot Desnoyers helped seal the deal for the Mooseheads.
The Mooseheads will make their way to Bathurst to take on the Titan on Sunday.
