Single-vehicle crash claims life of P.E.I. teenager Sunday morning

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A 17-year-old boy is dead following a single-vehicle crash in western Prince Edward Island.

RCMP Cpl. Andy Cook says the accident occurred on the Sou-West Road in Huntley around 3 a.m. Sunday.

He says the vehicle left the road, flipped and hit trees.

The driver, from the West Prince area, was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was ejected.

He was taken to the Prince County Hospital but died a short time later as a result of his injuries.
