New Brunswick reports two more COVID-19 deaths, 1,133 new infections

FREDERICTON — New Brunswick is reporting two more COVID-19-related deaths today, bringing the death count to 311 since the start of the pandemic.

The deaths involve one person in their 70s and someone in their 80s, both in the Saint John region.

Health officials are reporting 1,133 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

There are 100 patients in hospital with the disease, a rise of eight, including nine in intensive care.

The province says there are 492 health-care workers in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

New Brunswick has 4,061 active reported infections.
