Two people are dead and another injured after a dangerous day on the roads in Nova Scotia.
Tuesday around 5:00 p.m., RCMP were on the scene of a head-on crash in Lunenburg. The Mounties say a 69-year-old man, the driver who was alone in the vehicle, died at the scene. The 59-year-old woman driving the second vehicle was hurt and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Around 11:00 p.m., police notified of a crash in the Falmouth area on highway 101. One person was killed in the single vehicle crash.
That accident forced the closure of the 101 between exits 7 and 8 for several hours overnight.
On Wednesday morning, police were again warning of extremely slippery conditions, specifically on highway 103.
