Halifax District RCMP say two people have been taken to the Twin Oaks Hospital in Musquodoboit Harbour with non-life threatening injuries after an armed robbery Monday morning.

Mounties were called to a residence on Highway 7 in Porters Lake at 6:46 a.m. after they say two male suspects with firearms entered and assaulted the pair.

They say the building is also home to a business, which several media posts identify as The Farm Assists Medical Resource Centre.

A post by the medical cannabis dispensary owner Chris Enns says their Porters Lake location is closed Monday due to “an incident in the upper unit.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Halifax District RCMP at 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
