NEWS RELEASE
HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY
*************************
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that registration for fall recreation programming begins tomorrow.
The municipality recently launched the first phase of the new online registration system for recreation memberships, programming, and facility bookings.
Spaces for the over 1,800 fall recreation programs are offered on a first-come-first-serve basis. Those who normally register for programming over the phone or in-person, will still have the option to do so, however, a new online user profile must be created as old accounts are no longer valid. For assistance, please call (902) 490-6666.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. each day:
· Tuesday, August 14 for preschool, child, and youth programs (excluding aquatics)
· Thursday, August 16 for all aquatics programs
· Tuesday, August 21 for adult and skating programs
The new and enhanced system will streamline the registration process across municipally-operated recreation facilities, including the Sackville Sports Stadium.
