No students on board school bus hit by SUV (4 photos)

The Halifax Regional Centre for Education says no students were on board a bus when it was involved in a collision Friday morning.

RCMP say the crash between an SUV and the bus happened on Hammonds Plains Road in the area of Hatfield Farm just before 8 a.m.

Police say the driver of the SUV has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the bus was not injured.

Cpl. Lisa Croteau says one lane of traffic had to be shut down earlier this morning, but it has since reopened.
