Suspect sought after a random assault at a Dartmouth grocery store

Two men were injured after police say they were assaulted at the Sobeys store on Wyse Road in Dartmouth Thursday night.

Police were called to the location around 9:10 p.m. after a report that two men were assaulted by a man they didn’t know. Police say the suspect jumped into a waiting vehicle with two other people in it after the incident and then sped off.

One of the victims was treated at the scene, while the second was taken to hospital for treatment of what police describe as non-life-threatening injuries.

Halifax regional police describe the suspect as follows:

  • A 20-30-year-old man
  • Approximately 6’ tall
  • Weighing about 200 lbs
  • Wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and a dark-coloured hoodie

 

The vehicle is described as a grey or silver Honda Accord with a black spoiler.
