RCMP arrest man in connection with stabbing in Halifax from last October

Halifax Regional Police have charged a man in relation to a stabbing that occurred in Halifax last October.

Police asked for the public’s help identifying a suspect connected to the incident from October 1st, 2022 in which a 19-year-old man was found with stab wounds during an unsanctioned Dalhousie University homecoming event.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP officers went to Moncton on Oct. 18 and with assistance of local authorities, arrested 19-year-old Austin Wambolt without incident.

Wambolt is set to appear in court at a later date to face aggravated assault and a pair of weapons-related charges.
