The RCMP is asking the public for information as it investigates “far-right extremist” symbols that were spray-painted in the Lunenburg area.
On Friday, a spokesperson from public works said the symbols appeared overnight in “recent days.”
The department did not say what the symbols were of or what group they were from, but a spokesperson said “The Minister of Public Works wants to be clear that the government strongly condemns Diagolon”.
In an email to CityNews on Monday, the RCMP said officers were called on the morning of April 30 to reports of graffiti spray-painted on Hwy. 103 between exits 8 and 9 and near exit 12.
The Mounties said anyone with information about mischief incidents is asked to call police or to leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
