Dartmouth woman arrested in Devon Marsman murder investigation

A third person is facing charges as the investigation into the murder of Devon Marsman continues.

Halifax Regional Police say officers arrested Emma Maria Meta Casey, 23, on Wednesday in Dartmouth.

She’s expected in court Thursday to face charges of accessory after the fact to murder, indignity to human remains and obstructing justice.

The 16-year-old went missing from Spryfield in 2022.

Last week, police announced the arrest of two men in connection to Marsman’s murder.

Treyton Alexander Marsman, 26, and a 20-year-old, who was a youth at the time of the alleged incident were charged.

Treyton Marsman, is related to Devon, and is facing charges including second-degree murder and indignity to human remains.

The 20-year-old is facing charges including accessory after the fact to murder and obstructing justice.

In Thursday’s update, police say human remains believed to be those of Marsman are still with the medical examiner’s officer for identification.

The investigation continues, and HRP says more arrests are anticipated.
