Halifax police ask for help identifying suspect in bank robbery

Regional police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a robbery that took place in Halifax back in June.

On June 26 at roughly 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a robbery that took place at the CIBC Bank on Parkland Drive where a woman entered a bank, threatened all inside while waving a firearm and demanding money from the tills.

Police said she went behind the counter and stole money before fleeing the scene in a black vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white woman, roughly 5’7″ tall, wearing a blonde wig, large tan sun hat, black pants, and grey jacket. She also wore large black sunglasses, a white medical mask covering her face and gloves. Police said there was a dark-coloured tattoo on the left side of the suspect’s lower back.

Anyone with information is asked to contact HRP or Crime Stoppers.
