One woman is facing over $4,000 in charges after caught stunt driving.
Members of the Halifax Regional Police Traffic Unit observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Hwy 102 approaching Bayers Road around 9:25 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Police say the officer observed the vehicle’s speed at 112 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
The 59-year-old female driver was ticketed for stunting, resulting in six demerit points, a seven day licence suspension, a hefty fine, and seizure of the vehicle.
Officers say she was also ticketed for driving without a motor vehicle liability policy, failing to pass on the left, and driving without a clearly visible licence plate.
In total, the charges bring a fine of over $4,000.
