Outage in Upper Tantallon resolved after knocking out power to thousands

Residents in Upper Tantallon had their power restored after the community was hit with a power outage.

Few details are known, but as of 9:30 a.m., the Nova Scotia Power outage map was showing the situation resolved.

Around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Nova Scotia Power was reporting nearly 2,100 customers without electricity.

In an update, the utility says the cause was due to “damage to overhead equipment.”

According to the outage map, customers from Upper Tantallon and Stillwater Lake were affected by the disruption on Monday.
