41-year-old injured in drive-by shooting in Lake Loon area

A man showed up at a home, saying he was shot and needed emergency responders near the northeast portion of Halifax Regional Municipality earlier this week.

According to RCMP, on May 19, around 8:50 p.m., they received a call from an injured man who arrived at a home on Montague Mines Road in the Lake Loon area. The 41-year-old man said he was walking north along the roadway when a burgundy SUV approached and shots were fired.

Police arrived at the home and found the man from Halifax in non-life-threatening condition.

The victim said he jumped into a ditch before going door-to-door looking for help.

Officers are looking for suspects in the incident, and anyone with video footage from the area is being asked to contact RCMP.
