Puppy broker Gail Benoit released on bail

Notorious puppy broker Gail Benoit has been granted bail for assault charges.

Benoit was arrested Friday on charges stemming from an incident last week involving a 25-year-old man at a home in Waverley.

The woman is also at the center of a court case over the sale of dogs that were not hers, and is due in court Wednesday in Bridgewater to face fraud charges.
