Police investigating body found near Dingle

Police are investigating the discovery of a body in Sir Sanford Fleming Park.
A man walking his dog called 911 around 6 p.m. Monday and firefighters pulled the body from a pond near the Dingle tower.
Halifax Regional Police Sgt. Bill Morris tells News 95.7 the deceased is a man, but an age or name can’t be determined.
“We’ve checked all our missing persons to the best of our ability last eveing and we’re still trying to determine where this person did come from,” he said.
Morris says the death will be treated as suspicious until the medical examiner finishes his report.
