By CityNews Halifax Staff

911 is working again in Atlantic Canada.

Earlier Wednesday, numerous agencies, including local police, had said 911 calls weren't getting through due to a technical issue.

Bell Aliant had said it was experiencing network issue which was impacting wireless and landline services for some customers in Atlantic Canada. It now says service has been restored.

At 11:16 a.m. the Nova Scotia government sent out a tweet saying the emergency 911 line is once again operational.
