NEWS RELEASE
CASINO NOVA SCOTIA
*************************
The health and safety of our guests and team members has always been of the utmost importance to us, and we have always been vigilant about cleanliness at both Casino Nova Scotia Halifax and Sydney.

Since January, we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and taking proactive measures, such as handwashing posters with a reminder of cough/sneeze etiquette as directed by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), as well as hand sanitizer dispensers in areas where handwashing poses a challenge.

We have taken a number of other precautionary steps including increased cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces, including slot machines, public counters, door handles, railings and restrooms. We have also reinforced the importance of hand hygiene with our team members, and are regularly communicating to our teams about notifications and guidance from government health care agencies regarding the current  COVID-19 situation.

Additionally, out of an abundance of caution and in compliance with the recommendations provided today by Premier Stephen McNeil and the Chief Medical Officer to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19, the following performances scheduled to take place at the Schooner Showroom of Casino Nova Scotia will be postponed:

  • The Clairvoyants, April 1, 8pm – new date to be determined
  • Loverboy, April 6, 8pm – new date to be determined
  • Terry Fator, April 18 3pm & 8pm – rescheduled for August 22nd

New details and instructions concerning performances mentioned above will be shared as we have more information. Please note that the original tickets for these shows will be honored at the door so we ask that guests please hang on to your tickets.

The following show will be cancelled:

  • My Bonny – An All Star Tribute to Laura Smith, March 29, 7pm

For ticket refunds for this show, please contact Ticket Atlantic.

PHAC has assessed the public risk associated with COVID-19 as LOW for the Canadian public and we continue to closely monitor this situation and follow direction from government health care agencies.
