Driver ticketed after pedestrian hit in north end

A 45-year-old woman has been taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries

Halifax Regional Police say a woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car Wednesday morning.

The 45-year-old was crossing Robie Street at Young Street around 7:20 a.m. when she was struck.

She was taken from the scene by EHS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have ticketed a 19-year-old man for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
