SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Halifax Mooseheads came out victorious on Saturday night, defeating the Saint John Sea Dogs 5-4 in overtime at Harbour Station.

Brett Crossley opened things up, scoring his first of the season to give Halifax an early lead.

It was short lived, however, as Luke Wilson, Ostap Safin, and Anthony Boucher scored three consecutive goals to make it 3-1 Saint John heading into the second.

Benoit-Olivier Groulx and Jared McIsaac both found the back of Saint John's net in the second period, tying things up at 3-3.

Crossley scored his second of the evening early in the third, but Radim Salda answered right back to make it 4-4 and force overtime where Raphael Lavoie scored the game winner to give Halifax to 5-4 win.

On Sunday, the Mooseheads head to Bathurst to take on the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
