MSVU suspends in-person classes and labs until end of term

By CityNews Halifax Staff

In-person classes and labs at Mount Saint Vincent University are being suspended until the end of the term.

School officials say although there are still no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, it is only a matter time before this happens.

Classes already being delivered online will continue.

By mid next week, students will be hearing about any modifications to their courses from their course instructors.

There will also be no face-to-face exams and faculty are being asked to consider if take-home or digitally-delivered exams are possible.

The university will remain open and employees are asked to attend work as usual.

Residences remain open but students living in them are encouraged to go home if they can.
