A snowstorm impacting the Halifax area overnight has led to many delays on Friday.

SCHOOLS:
All schools are closed in the Halifax Regional Centre for Education on Friday.
All CSAP schools across Nova Scotia are closed.
Sacred Heart School is closed Friday.
Schools are also closed in the Tri-County, South Shore, Chignecto Central and Annapolis Valley Regional Education Centres.
MSVU will delay opening until noon.
Saint Mary's University will delay opening until 3 p.m. on Friday.
Dalhousie Halifax and Truro campuses will delay opening until 1 p.m.
TRANSPORTATION:
Halifax Transit will have a delayed start Friday morning service resumption ramping up at 10 am.
Halifax Stanfield was reporting a few delays and cancellations on Friday morning.
BUSINESSES:
Irving Shipbuilding has cancelled the day shift on Friday at all work sites.
SERVICES:
All CFB Halifax properties will delay opening until noon.
Halifax Public Libraries delayed opening until 1 p.m. on Friday.
HRM will be delaying the opening of our offices Friday until 10 a.m.
Municipal recreation centres would delay opening until noon on Friday.
Friday's curbside collection of garbage, organics and recyclables is cancelled. For residents who usually have a collection on Friday, services have been rescheduled for Saturday. Residents are reminded that collection can begin as early as 7 am.
