Wildcats top Mooseheads 3-2

MONCTON, N.B. – The Moncton Wildcats edged out the Halifax Mooseheads 3-2 on Saturday night.
The Wildcats struck first, scoring back-to-back goals as Jakob Pelletier and Jacob Hudson put Moncton up 2-0. Samuel Asselin responded late in the period to cut their lead in half.
Jordan Spence extended Moncton's lead to 3-1 in the second period.
Arnaud Durandeau brought the Mooseheads within one early in the third period but it wasn't enough as Moncton held on to win 3-2.
On Sunday, the Herd will head over to Saint John to take on the Sea Dogs.
