Halifax Regional Police say a driver has been handed a ticket after a pedestrian was struck in Dartmouth over the weekend.

Officers were called to Prince Albert Road just after 11 p.m. on Sunday.

They say a man was in a marked crosswalk when he was struck.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver has been ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
