High school student victim of sextortion say RCMP

Halifax District RCMP are investigating after nude photos of a student circulated around a high school.
The student told police she added someone she didn't know to a social media account and he pressured her to send the pictures.
When she declined to send more, police say the suspect threatened to send the ones he already had to her contacts.
A short time later, her contacts received photos and videos.
RCMP say to be careful when interacting with strangers online and add it's a good idea to check social media security settings.
“Users should be very careful when sending photos via the internet, as once the image is online, it can never be fully deleted,” Mounties say in a news release.
