A 31-year-old man has been charged with stunting on Highway 111.
Halifax Regional Police say an officer spotted the vehicle going 137 km/h in the 80 km/h zone on Tuesday.
A stunting charge is automatic anytime a vehicle is going at least 50 km/h over the speed limit and it comes with a $2,422.50 fine, along with six points assigned to the driver's record.
The man was also suspended from driving for seven days and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
On Monday and Tuesday, HRP's traffic unit also wrote 3 tickets for speeding, 10 for using a cell phone while driving and 19 for other offences including no insurance, expired plates and no licence.
Officers spent monitoring traffic in the Summer Street and Morris Street areas of Halifax, as well as Main Street in Dartmouth.
