Police search for suspect in Mumford Rd. robbery

Halifax Regional Police are looking for a suspect after a Tuesday afternoon robbery on Mumford Road.

They say a man stole merchandise from the Sobeys at around 1:10 p.m.

Then when a loss prevention officer approached the man, police say the officer was threatened with what was believed to be a conductive energy weapon.

The suspect left the area on foot with a woman.

He's described as white, in his 20s, with an average height and build. He had been wearing a mustard yellow and black jacket with a black and white camouflage patterned hooded sweater underneath. 

The woman is described as white and in her 20s with a thin build. She had been wearing a beige and pink jacket. 

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call 902-490-5020 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
